Continue reading

Merry Christmas from the Affiliate Networks
I hope everyone had a good Christmas, and there’s still the New Year celebrations to look forward to!
Every year at Christmas, I receive gifts and cards from some of the various advertising and affiliate networks that I do business with. It’s always nice to receive something, and it’s well worth any cost and/or effort on their end as it does remind the receiver that the company acknowledges you.
I’ve said this many times before, but receiving something physical, no matter how small, is a hundred times more meaningful and effective in this era of electronic mail and social networking.
For example, take this very blog post. I am going to be mentioning and linking to the 3 networks that sent me something… Continue reading
Payday Loan Affiliate Program by LeadsMarket.com Review
The following is a paid review for TylerCruz.com written and reviewed by Michael Kwan. It is completely of Michael Kwan’s opinion and is not influenced by being paid. If you’re interested in having your site or product reviewed, please view my advertising page
The world of affiliate marketing is increasingly competitive, especially when it comes to some of the most popular and lucrative niches. Payday loans are one such example, because there is so much money at stake. And if you want to make money in this niche, there is a new player in the game that could put a lot of cash in your pocket.
Boasting that it offers the “best payday loan affiliate program,” LeadsMarket.com offers one of the… Continue reading
Affiliate Marketing Update: $1,276.50 Yesterday
I set yet another 2 new records with yesterday’s affiliate marketing performance, but I got tired of titling these posts as such.
Yesterday was good, setting 2 new personal affiliate marketing records of mine, but the bad news is that I didn’t set a new net profit record yesterday. In fact, my overall ROI dropped from the previous day’s considerably (by about 50%).
However, I can’t complain. I still made just shy of $500 net yesterday, and I can’t expect to set 3 new records every single day.
New Record #1: 642 Leads in 1 Day
To be honest, as time goes on and I begin to send in these amounts of traffic, this particular "record" diminishes in its appeal to me, and so I’m… Continue reading
Affiliate Marketing Update: 3 More New Records
This post is going to look eerily similar to yesterday’s post, as I already managed to completely break and smash all 3 of the new records I just posted yesterday!
I am exhausted. It is 9AM and I only ‘napped’ 3 hours last night. All of this recent explosive growth in my affiliate marketing campaigns has made sleep a real difficult lately.
It’s not just a matter of excitement either. Since I’m starting to do some real volume now, I like to closely monitor how and what things are doing, as a small oversight or misstep could cause me a lot of money and/or grief.
Anyway, yesterday was my best day of affiliate marketing ever, by far. Here are my 3 new affiliate… Continue reading
Affiliate Marketing Update: 3 New Records!
What’s this? Three consecutive posts in 3 days!?
Well, these affiliate marketing update posts are pretty quick and easy to write. I don’t plan on posting so many regular updates on my affiliate marketing campaigns, but it’s just that things have really been moving the past couple weeks.
In fact, things have been moving so fast that I’ve been having a hard time sleeping lately.
Yesterday, I managed to break 3 new personal records on my affiliate campaigns.
New Record #1: 333 Leads in 1 Day
My previous record for number of leads in 1 day was 250, which I set back on November 7th.
I completely smashed that record yesterday with a total of 333!
What’s scary is that I am on pace to… Continue reading
Affiliate Marketing Update: New Gross Record
I set a new personal affiliate marketing record yesterday, grossing a total of $441.90 in a single day!
My previous high was on January 12th, 2010 at $397.
I fully understand that it’s rather silly to "celebrate" a gross income record, as anyone could have spent $400 or $800 and done the same thing, but I still like to celebrate it anyway as it hopefully means I’m moving in the right direction. Plus, I’ve always loved celebrating new personal bests in anything I do.
Below is a screenshot of the development of my campaigns in December so far:
While I set a new personal gross revenue day, I didn’t break my best net profit day, which was $233.39. However, I did come fairly close, ending… Continue reading
Affiliate Marketing Update: December 15th, 2011
I haven’t posted in a week because most of my "work time" lately has been devoted to working on my affiliate campaigns. Although, a good portion of that consists of hitting the refresh button
In my last update, I wrote about how I had a really good ROI and that I was going to try to scale things. However, I also mentioned how whenever I try to ramp things up that my ROI goes down the tube. It’s expected to drop, no doubt, but mine really plummets whenever I try to do any half-decent volume.
So I scaled things up this past week (and am continuing to do so), and did get my # of leads up to an average… Continue reading

Continue reading

Tremendo, ¿no?.
Continue reading

Enquirer: Kobe Bryant cheated on Vanessa with over 100 chicks; she hired PIs
When the news came out that Vanessa Bryant had finally filed for divorce from basketball great Kobe Bryant after 10 years a lot of people assumed it was because she’d reached the magic number and would be entitled to half of all his earnings. It was way back in 2003 that Kobe admitted to cheating on Vanessa with a 19 year-old hotel employee who claimed it was rape. (Kobe said it was consensual.) So Vanessa knew her husband was a cheater and held on for as long as she had to in order to reach paydirt. According to the National Enquirer, prior to filing for divorce Vanessa hired a team of private investigators and made sure that she… Continue reading
Robert Downey Jr. adopted two rescue kittens: “I would kill for them”
Here are some shots from Robert Downey Jr.’s January/February cover of Men’s Fitness (the American version). RDJ is promoting Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, which I saw over the holidays. I liked it, but I didn’t love it. I LOVED the first Sherlock, and I appreciated that they did a lot of Jude Law-RDJ/Watson-Holmes bromance in the sequel, and I also liked Noomi Rapace’s Gypsy character a lot. There’s a ton of action, and there are some really cool sequences and stuff (I loved the part with Watson and the cannon), but it was like they were trying to jam so much cool stuff in there that some of the story got lost… Continue reading
Lady Gaga is being sued by her former assistant, who claims Gaga is cray-cray
These are photos of Lady Gaga leaving Japan on the 23rd (the ones where she’s wearing a dress), and in Paris on Boxing Day (the ones where she’s wearing a leather jacket and barely anything else). If those Paris photos are giving you déjà vu, congrats. It’s like Gaga’s annual Paris tradition – she goes out shopping in Paris without pants. I don’t think she’s even wearing anything under the jacket, either. Anyway, Gaga is being sued by her former personal assistant, Jennifer O’Neill. O’Neill filed suit several days ago, claiming that Gaga is basically a monster employer.
Jennifer O’Neill, Lady Gaga’s former personal assistant has filed suit against her former employer, alleging that she… Continue reading
Sinead O’Connor is getting divorced after less than a month: predictable?
Poor Sinead O’Connor. She went off her bipolar meds (really she did and she admitted it, I’m not just saying that) and then went trolling on the Internet for a good lay. Once she found one that stuck around for more than a couple of weeks, she married the dude in Vegas and invited the paps. Sinead got married on her 45th birthday to a 38 year-old “addiction counselor” she’d known less than two months. The happy couple made it official at the Little White Wedding Chapel, arriving in a convertible pink Cadillac. The bride wore a strapless pink dress, and the groom a suit with a pink dress shirt. Their happiness is a distant… Continue reading
Star: Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are fighting, “she feels like a single parent”
This week’s issue of Star floats the theory that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have hit a rough patch in their marriage even though they’ve only been married for about year. Of course, the couple dated for four years prior to marriage and are parents to two toddlers, Harlow and Sparrow. So to an outsider, these two eventually wed because they realized they were meant for each other, right? Well, anyone who’s been married can tell you that the after-wedding reality can sometimes feel altogether different than one imagined.
While I would ordinarily dismiss this story as symptomatic of an adjustment period in Nicole and Joel’s relationship, the photo evidence (or lack thereof) supports Star‘s story quite a… Continue reading
Daniel Craig: “Politicians are s–theads, they’ll stab you in the f–king back”
I saw The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo over the holidays (review here), and I walked away liking Daniel Craig even more. For all of the talk about the character of Lisbeth Salander and the wildly different portraits given by Rooney Mara and Noomi Rapace, I was impressed with how Daniel gave life to Mikael Blomkvist. True, he wasn’t really my idea of Blomkvist (too capable, too James Bond, not “average” enough), but he brought a depth and seriousness to the role, and I enjoyed seeing Daniel own the part. Daniel is still promoting the hell out of this, his final bid of the year to have a major hit film. The problem… Continue reading
Lindsay Lohan is turning down New Year’s Eve gigs, because she’s not a party girl
I really think that since Lindsay Lohan got paid nearly a million dollars by Playboy for her Photoshopped T&A and her dusty firecrotch, she thinks that she’s totally rolling in dough. Granted, if I had $900,000 sitting around after flashing my biscuits (not even, in LL’s case), I would be smug as hell too. But I would also save a large chunk of that money and live on it for YEARS. I could stretch that out for a decade or more. But you know that the Cracken is just going to blow through it in a matter of months, if she hasn’t already. Still, now that she got paid, she thinks she’s too special… Continue reading
Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou show off their hard beach bodies
Here are Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou on the beach in St. Barts, making me all the more aware of my resolutions. I could get snarky and say that Kimora surely had some help from a surgeon, but even so she looks great and you can’t achieve that body without hard work. Plus she’s got that incredible man by her side. Can you believe these two have been together for almost five years? It irks me that Djimon is holding their two year son, Kenzo, (why did I think the kid’s name was Kelso at first?) in most of these shots and blocking our view. Still, what we can see is magnificent. This is one… Continue reading
Clint Eastwood was dead set against reality show, but his wife insisted
A few weeks ago, a truly heartbreaking story broke about Clint Eastwood going over to the dark side. We learned that Clint and his family were filming a reality show, which would primarily star his wife, Dina Ruiz, and the two teenaged daughters of the house. I also discussed the horrible news in terms of Clint’s potential loss of mystique and assumption of dorkdom by allowing cameras into his house to watch him shuffle around in boxer shorts while scratching his balls. Again, nothing good can possibly come of this.
This week’s Enquirer doubles down on the story by confirming what we already knew — that Clint has agreed to make a few limited cameo appearances. However, an insider… Continue reading
Blind Items: I Guess, You Guess
This former A list female singer who has had a very crazy year has checked into rehab on three separate occasions this month. She has also checked herself out the very next day each time because she is afraid she will lose her current job if her current bosses find out. (CDAN)
The wild peroxide tumbleweave of drunk regrets that is Xtina? But you know, Snookitina shouldn’t worry about getting dropped into the out box by the producers of The Voice. They hired that dehydrated talking frog Carson Daly, so they are obviously out of fucks to give, which means they probably wouldn’t care if she dried the mess out of her system in rehab for a while.

"So, You’re Telling Me That You Had This Much Of Harry Louis’ Burrito Dick In Your Ass?"
All is well in the world now that Marc Jacobs and his ex-fiance Lorenzo Martone are back to meticulously manicuring their pristine as fuck face beards together. Marc Jacobs took a ten second break from Lorenzo to break his brown sugar walls on the mole rat-sized dick of Brazilian fuck star Harry Louis, but he was struttin’ his ass next to Lorenzo in St. Barts yesterday afternoon.
Marc and Lorenzo are in St. Barts with Chupa Zoe and Chupa Jr., and thank EVERYTHING for that. The people of St. Barts would throw themselves into the mouths of open sharks if they noticed that a soul-sucking demon beast was on the island, but they were too busy to notice because they… Continue reading

At least the important questions of the universe are answered.

Way To Go, Deion
Ooooh, breakup by text, you have just been demoted to level #2 on the coldest shit you can do scale. Pilar Sanders, the apparently soon to be ex-wife of the legendary football great Deion Sanders, says she found out about their impending divorce on TMZ.com. Ho-lee-shit. Stock in Ben N’ Jerry’s and Smith and Wesson just bounced off the charts.
According to TMZ, his wife’s lawyer says, “Pilar’s sole focus and top priority for the last 12.5 years has been her marriage and children. Based on recent discoveries, [Pilar] now realizes that Deion did not view their family the same way.” OUCH. And translation: Deion, just do the right thing and open that wallet. Some People Don’t Know When To Shut. The. Fuck. Up.
In yet another stellar call in the life of Jerry Sandusky, TMZ reports that he has decided to speak publicly again on his child sexual abuse allegations, but hasn’t yet decided whether Oprah or Barbara Walters will be the luckiest woman alive to be graced with his presence. He and his wife Dottie are wanting to set the record straight and clear his JeffreyDahmerwasanaltarboycomparedtoyou good name (I had to get drunk just to type that) by going on the air again and this time he’s practiced so he doesn’t pause when asked if he’s sexually attracted to young boys.
Strangely, neither Oprah nor Barbara’s camp can be reached to confirm the interview, so there’s a good chance that this is all wishful… Continue reading

Lady Gaga (the “lady” part is up for discussion) was spotted out in Paris shopping sans Underoos once again says Hollywood Rag. Bitch, put some pants on. That being said, I’m glad she’s helping the local economy and hopefully buying some stuff to cover that shit up while she’s at it. Come to think of it though, maybe she had lots of panties and they all put on their Nikes and drank the Kool-Aid to willingly go to the next level. I can’t say I blame them.
You know, I’m not a prude (more of a total ho really) but I have to say I’ll be glad when this no pants / leggings count as pants… Continue reading

Minicraft 2 (Note "Mini"): It Lives?
Some wish for wealth; some for power and prestige. Still others wish to hear those three special words from the object of their affection. Me? I wish for only one thing: to finally reaching into the beard of Markus “Notch” Persson and give a firm squeeze to those pinchable, Swedish cheeks.
Not content with the official release of Minecraft, the upcoming Scrolls, and Minecraft’s lesser-known sibling, Minicraft, Notch is preparing for a fervent frolic through the flowering, 8-bit fields of fancy once again. Indeed, as a recent tweet indicated, he is currently working on Minicraft 2 (not to be confused with Minecraft) “for no good reason.” The original was part of the Ludum Dare
Video: Messing With Seaman
Someone at work showing off the silly things you can do with Siri on her new iPhone just reminded me of all the crazy crap that Seaman used to come up with. Of course, when I mentioned that at work, I had to actually explain what Seaman is, and what it does. I loved that game and thought it was absolutely brilliant. The voice recognition was rudimentary, but for 1999, it was revolutionary to me, at least!

How Not To Conduct Public Relations
When preordering an unreleased product, sometimes promises get broken. Ship dates get shuffled around, prices adjust, and customers get upset. What you do is address their concerns in a polite and respectful manner and do whatever you reasonably can to accommodate their complaints.
What you don’t do is behave like Paul Christoforo, President of Ocean Marketing and the folks behind the Avenger controller, and demean your customer. You don’t insult them and dismiss their complaints. You don’t abuse the use of punctuation while doing so. And you most definitely don’t start slinging crap at Penny Arcade and PAX. Regardless of whether you like Gabe and Tycho, they are tastemakers in gamer… Continue reading
Resistance: Burning Skies Gets Some Gameplay Footage
I will never forgive this man for uttering the phrase, “boom goes the dynamite.”
As the title suggests, some fresh gameplay of Resistance: Burning Skies, the Vita exclusive, was recently posted to the Playstation Blog. While these sort of previews tend to be a bit tedious - looking over a player’s shoulder while he narrates the action over background noise isn’t the best way to see a game - it does give the viewer a decent idea of how gameplay will pan out, particularly with Vita’s touch controls. The kids over at Nihilistic Software gave a brief preview of the “George Washington Bridge” battle, demonstrating the environments, cover system, and of course, “guns a’blazin” goodness. The game is obviously… Continue reading

Dear Diary,
This was a big week in Narnia. No, seriously. We’ve got a lot to cover, so we can’t waste any time!
Friday Frivolity: Mega64 Tackles Skyrim
My head is kept scrupulously shaved at all times, but every now and again, a rogue strand of blonde hair escapes the unforgiving blade. Aside from nagging at my latent OCD, said strand makes it a personal mission to disorganize my thoughts, cause me to gloss over obvious things with utter ignorance and, in the case of this video, refresh YouTube roughly six times after being convinced that my graphics card has suffered some sort of “technical event.”
The kids over at at Mega64 have been at it again, this time offering a few jibes in the direction of… Continue reading
Myst Will Not Die
Many, many years ago, I borrowed a copy of Myst to see what the fuss was about. And I just did not get it. I happen to really enjoy point-and-click adventure games, but Myst just did nothing for me. And I tried one of the sequels that got ported to the PS2 as I recall, and even with better graphics and fancier animation I still couldn’t get into it. But the game remains one of the biggest selling PC titles ever, and has made its way onto plenty of platforms. And now it’s going to make its way to one more: The Nintendo 3DS. Maximum Family Games has announced that it is developing Myst for a March 27, 2012 release on… Continue reading
Sony Lowers Playstation Vita Memory Card Prices
Now that players know what games they can expect for their Playstation Vita on launch day, they might also want all kinds of memory cards and junk to go with it. Fortunately, hot on the heels of the official Vita launch games, Sony has announced via the Playstation Blog that memory card prices have been lowered from internet debate-sparking expensive to just expensive.
Standard 4 GB memory cards will go for $19.99, while larger sizes will cost appropriately more. A special starter kit will also be available on February 22nd and give players a 4GB memory card, pocket pouch, protective film, card case, headphones, and cleaning cloth for just $39.99. Anyone curious about the full list of accessories for the… Continue reading
Contest: Merry Riftmas!
Happy holidays, gaymers! Sorry I haven’t posted much lately (good lord, it’s been over a month!), but between two jobs and the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus I have had minimal time for anything substantive. I promise, though, that I’ve got three reviews in the works: two video reviews concerning flying elves and speedy mammals, and an iOS review for a game that teaches you how to be a bartender. No, seriously.
Due to being so busy, I’ve become more and more familiar with that Twittery thing that Drand assures me is not a fad. I have to admit, it’s kinda nifty even though I’ve been turning my nose up to it in the past. If I… Continue reading

Continue reading
Review: Caja Aerocool Vs-9 (Parte II)
Placa Base: Gigabyte X58-UD5
Memoria Ram: 2×2 GB OCZ (8-8-8-24 1600Mhz) + 2×2 GB Patriot (8-8-8-24 1600Mhz) 8GB en Dual Channel

Trailer de Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Open Question: Is it realistic for publishers to cut Amazon out of the equation?
DRM is a hotly controversial topic, but most publishers continue to insist on employing it to protect content from piracy. In a recent blog post, author Charlie Stross argued that “the strategy of demanding DRM everywhere is going to boomerang, inflicting horrible damage on the very companies who want it.” Stross said Amazon is publishing’s next biggest threat after piracy, and employing DRM is like handing Amazon a big stick.
Until 2008, ebooks were a tiny market segment, under 1% and easily overlooked; but in 2009 ebook sales began to rise exponentially, and ebooks now account for over 20% of all fiction sales. In some areas ebooks are up to 40% of the market and rising rapidly. (I am not… Continue reading

The year in big data and data science
Big data and data science have both been with us for a while. According to McKinsey & Company’s May 2011 report on big data, back in 2009 “nearly all sectors in the U.S. economy had at least an average of 200 terabytes of stored data … per company with more than 1,000 employees.” And on the data-science front, Amazon’s John Rauser used his presentation at Strata New York (below) to trace the profession of data scientist all the way back to 18th-century German astronomer Tobias Mayer.
Of course, novelty and growth are separate things, and in 2011, there were a number of new technologies and companies developed to address big data’s issues of storage, transfer, and… Continue reading

The tablet boom: Great for Wi-Fi, but not for carriers
This time of year, a lot of companies are issuing their “top predictions for 2012,” and most of the trends they forecast are hopelessly obvious: Smartphone sales will skyrocket! or Apple will launch a new iPhone! But Sandvine’s top 5 projections for the new year are always worth a glance; its status as one of the telecom industry’s biggest packet sniffers gives it unique insight into how consumers use their mobile and wireline broadband connections.
This year, Sandvine had a lot of interesting things to say about how tablets will intersect with the wacky world of mobile broadband as well as the continued deterioration of carrier services and the advent of live streamed video. Without further adieu ado, let’s drill… Continue reading
Apple had a really good Christmas
The numbers are starting to roll in, and it’s becoming clear that Apple had a pretty good holiday weekend. Waiting for the iOS maker under the Christmas tree on Sunday was a gigantic pile of new customers, who promptly starting buying apps, playing games and shopping, according to a bunch of stats released Tuesday.
Here’s what we know so far about how Apple did this past weekend:
People like shopping on their shiny new iPads. An IBM Coremetrics study tracking Christmas Day e-commerce found overall online shopping on Sunday was up more than 16 percent from last Christmas Day, and the dollar amount spent just from purchases made on a mobile device jumped 173 percent. But most interesting is that 7 percent of

Supply chain report points to 32- and 37-inch Apple iTV in 2012
Apple will be launching 32- and 37-inch versions of a dedicated Apple television set in the second or third quarter of 2012, according to supply chain sources speaking to DigiTimes on Tuesday. Apple will be focusing on those two sizes initially, the sources claim.
The sources indicate Apple’s supply partners will begin preparing the components necessary for the new “iTVs,” as they’ve been dubbed by the media, in the first quarter of 2012. Parts include Samsung chips (likely the A5 that currently powers the iPhone 4S and iPad 2, or its successor) and displays from Sharp, according to previous reports and backed up by what DigiTimes says are “media reports in Korea.”
Entering the market with 32- and 37-inch form factors… Continue reading
Apple fined by Italian authorities over AppleCare policies
Apple has run afoul of Italian authorities for providing misleading information about consumers’ rights in the country when it comes to product warranties, and on Tuesday ,the country’s Antitrust Authority announced it had placed a fine of €900,000 euros ($1.18 million USD) on the iPhone maker.
The BBC reports that in Italy consumers are guaranteed two years of warranty protection for all purchased products, but Apple had guaranteed only one year of warranty support — equal to what it offers here in the U.S. and in other countries. Instead of recognizing the second year of free warranty support, Apple was reportedly telling Italian customers to purchase AppleCare to cover any warranty claims after the first year.
The Antitrust Authority said Apple… Continue reading
Apple iOS holiday activations reach lofty heights
Apple’s iOS devices were popular gifts during the holiday weekend, as you might expect. According to a new Localytics study, there were 12.5 times more devices accessing games and apps using the Localytics platform than during previous weekends, in fact. It was enough growth to beat out Android’s worldwide gains, but not by much.
Regional differences in some areas showed strong discrepancies between the growth rate of the two platforms. In Germany and the U.S., for instance, iOS far outstripped Android’s growth, with around 15 or 16 times the average new device activations, vs about 11 to 12 times for Android hardware. The iPad and the iPod seem to make the difference; in countries where iOS beat Android, there were many more of… Continue reading
Cosmonaut stylus review: A tip-to-toe iPad writing companion
The Cosmonaut is a new iPad stylus from Studio Neat which started life on Kickstarter. After a few months of manufacturing and testing, the Cosmonaut started shipping in early December to Kickstarter backers, and is now available to purchase for $25. But is it any good?
The design
The Cosmonaut is designed to be more like a marker than a regular pen. The tip is wide, which may make you think it’d be less accurate, but surprisingly, it’s one of the most accurate styluses I’ve used. This is mostly due to the structure of the tip; it’s made of rubber which pushes in slightly and isn’t too flexible. (Some other styluses, such as… Continue reading
5 tips to make a new Mac user’s experience as pleasant as possible
So you finally convinced your friends and family to retire their PC in favor of a Mac with a Christmas gift. Now, you have to deal with being the training wheels for a new operating system. You can avoid some of the hassles that go along with that, and ease the transition for new Mac users with these simple steps.
1. Create a “My Documents alias, and other shortcuts on the desktop
Steve Jobs wanted your desktop to remain as uncluttered as possible, but PC users are used to seeing key items there. Putting an alias to the Documents folder on the desktop and renaming it My Documents is a good idea during their adjustment period. The same goes for commonly used applications… Continue reading
